The Orillia Canada Day Committee is pleased
to announce that a Citizenship Ceremony will be held at Pavilion II
on the shores of beautiful Lake Couchiching.
The presiding judge will speak to the citizenship candidates
about the meaning and responsibilities of Canadian citizenship, then lead them
in the citizenship oath, in which audience members can participate. After
singing O Canada, each new citizen will receive a certificate, congratulations,
and refreshments.
Always
a beautiful and emotional experience, this ceremony has become a special part of
Orillia’s Canada Day celebrations.
