Marshalling
takes place at Albert and Mississaga Street between 11 and 11:30 am. The
Parade starts promptly at noon down Mississaga Street and along Centennial Drive
and disperses at the North Park entrance (Jarvis Street).
This
parade celebrates Canada’s Birthday and Heritage. We encourage red and white,
music, floats, dignitaries, walking groups and animals (insurance
certificate required).
We
also encourage local award winners i.e. Citizen of the Year, Fair Ambassador,
Woman of the Year, etc. to submit a parade application.

Float Specifications:
- For safety purposes, all floats must have aprons/skirts to cover truck bed.
- Please add music to your float, if possible.
- Parade position numbers will be provided on the day of the Parade.
- Please do not leave excess decorating materials/garbage in the marshalling area.
- Please, no candies, flyers, etc. to be thrown from floats, groups or cars. Candies or flags may be handed out at curbside. Flyers are not permitted.
- Everyone having ANIMALS in your entry MUST provide a “Certificate of Insurance” from your insurance provider naming “Orillia Canada Day” and the “City of Orillia” as additional insured. The certificate is available at no charge from your insurance provider and must accompany the Parade Entry Application Form.
- All participants will acknowledge that the Orillia Canada Day Committee exercises complete discretion over this event.
